1) Make sure the foods you eat are close to their most natural state. You don’t have to be perfect. Aim to eat foods like beans, fruit, vegetables, salmon, chicken, oats, and milk for just about all of your diet.
2) Eat frequently. You can still get ripped by eating 3 large meals a day. But for most people refueling every three hours makes them feel better. It is a good way to avoid hunger and make eating clean foods easier. Meal frequency is one of those topics that will be debated in the diet industry forever. Just do what works best for you. 3) Cheat a little bit. As long as the amount of junk food you eat is a small portion of your diet it will not really show with your overall results. If you really want to get lean for some kind of special event then you should temporarily eat natural foods only. Just make sure to give yourself a mental break after a month or two.
4) Avoid complex carbs for most of the time. If you want to lose belly fat fast the only time you should eat complex carbs from sources like oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, and basically any grains is after a workout. These carbs help replenish your energy levels. Another strategy would be to avoid these type of carbs altogether but then have a carb load up day when you eat nothing but foods like pasta, rice, and bread. Again do what works best for you.
5) Don’t rely on supplements. Supplements do help but your main focus should be on natural foods. You can easily get ripped by shopping at the grocery store alone. 6) Drink milk, green tea, and water only. Feel free to drink whole milk as it is loaded with healthy fats and carbs that may help preserve your muscle. Green tea is a natural fat burner. I would aim for three cups a day and make sure to drink it early in the day because of the caffeine. Try to aim for a half gallon to a gallon of water each day to keep your body hydrated and burn extra fat.
7) Prepare your food in advanced. The thing about eating natural food is that there is cooking involved. Processed foods tend to be quick and easy. If you want to eat frequently then you should prepare your vegetables and lean meats in advanced. Cook chicken, fish, and your vegetables early in the morning or late at night if you have a tight schedule.
